WADHURST
CRICKET CLUB |
|
| Wadhurst Cricket Club provides cricket for all abilities in a friendly, family oriented environment. Wadhurst Cricket Club AGM: AGM to take place Wednesday 16th February 8pm – Greyhound. All members are urged to attend as important issues to discuss. Pre-season Nets, at Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre, St John's Road, Sunday evenings 8 – 9pm, start on 20 February 2011. New members of all standards welcome, we currently run 3 Saturday League and 2 Sunday Friendly teams - Telephone Iain Bell 01892 784 039 or Brian Penny 07753 282 838 for more information. As well as the busy weekend programme there are a number of midweek games as well as our traditional weeklong tour. So we are always able to offer you a game of cricket when you want to play at the standard you wish to play at. The club is also strongly committed to junior cricket and are developing a new colts section for 2010. We have two grounds. The principal one, which is at Washwell Lane in the centre of Wadhurst, now boasts a newly installed two-bay net facility. The ground benefits from a fantastic view over the valley as well as the unique atmosphere created by the traditional pavilion and bar. Food is served most Saturday evenings during the season and so it becomes a vibrant and friendly meeting place during the long summer evenings. The other ground is Cousley Wood, which, thanks to a Lottery grant, now enjoys a spacious high quality modern pavilion.
