Notes of a Planning Meeting held on 2 April 2009 at 18:00
in the Ticehurst Village Institute

Committee Members Present:-    Councillor Cook,  Councillor Burley, Councillor Goodall, Councillor Langdown, Councillor Maynard, Councillor Rigby

Declarations of interest by any Councillors regarding the list below should be made prior to the meeting or to that item being deliberated

1.  Dale Hill  Mrs Chave  RR2009/396/P Replacement of flat roofed detached garage with pitched roof - amendments to approval 2008/427/P

Observations :  It was felt that this amendment was an improvement to the previous plan - recommendation for approval

2. Mr Parker  Hopvine Cottage  Pashley  Rd  RR/2009/405/P  Erection of timber barn

Observations : This application is for a replacement barn, the footprint still showing of the barn that burnt down on the site some years ago. - Recommendation for approval

3.  Mr Jacquin  Orchard Place  Lymden Lane  Stonegate  RR/2009/443/P  Demolition of existing dwelling and erection of replacement dwelling and detached garage

Observations :  It was felt that any buiding on this site should adhere to the inspector's recommendations of having a maximum height of 7m. The current application is 8m. It was felt that this building is very large for the location and impinges on the neighbours' view. Recommendation for refusal.

4.  Mr Jacquin as above  RR/2009/479/P   Retrospective application for erection of boundary wall in excess of one metre.

Observations :  It was felt that once the house has been built on the site, the brick wall will look more in keeping than at present.

5.  Mr Beever  Plangecross  Lymden Lane  Stonegate  RR/2009/482/P  Alerations to loft and demolition of garage

Observations : It was felt that the upper storey does not impinge on neighbours and that the site is well screened by trees. Recommendation for approval

6.  Mr Thomas  Shovers Green Cottage,  resubmission of application RR/2008/2041/P  Ground floor extension to dwelling  RR/2009/542/P

Observations : It was felt that the plans were better than the previous application. Recommendation for approval

7.  Mr and Mrs Pannett  1 Blenheim Way  Flimwell  RR/2009/543/P Alteration to approved garage roof.

Observations : It was felt that the application improved the look of the building. Recommendation for approval.
